This paper reports results on the properties of concrete containing waste foundry sand (WFS). Fine aggregate was replaced with 0-100% WFS. The water to cement for all mixes was kept constant. Fresh and hardened properties of concrete were investigated.
2021-7-6 The machine-made sand produced by two production processes of ordinary sand production and dry sand production was used to prepare concrete with two strength levels of C30 and C55, and the influence of machine-made sand of different production processes on the working performance, mechanical properties and durability of concrete was compared and studied.
2021-4-14 Despite there being a huge amount of sand in the world, the availability of sand for concrete production is fairly limited because sand particles must have a specific size distribution to provide...
2021-7-7 In the production of concrete is usually used in the mortar. Sand is crushed into small pieces then it takes into the filtered to confirmation that no massive rock particle is included. After that mixing of cement and water, then that fills the air spaces between the coarse aggregate.
2020-5-20 The production of concrete requires large quantities of sand. At first sight, sand seems to be a cheap, widely available and abundant resource, however, in some regions of the earth sand is getting rare because of the high demand.

2021-4-1 In the production process, the order of placement in the concrete mixer was given importance, starting with the addition of hail (coarse aggregates), half the volume of water, ARI cement, natural sand or SFS-M (fine aggregates), the rest of the volume of water and additive.
2020-12-17 According to the mix proportion in supplementary data, solid materials such as cement, fly ash, silica fume, fine aggregate (manufactured sand and desert sand),
In this paper, two production processes of ordinary sand production and dry sand production are used to prepare concrete with two strength grades of C30 and C55. The impact of manufactured sands of different production processes on the working performance, mechanical properties and durability of concrete is comparatively studied.

2021-7-6 Concrete has higher compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and compressive elastic modulus than ordinary craft-made sand concrete. (3) The impact of machine-made sand from different production processes on the electric flux of concrete is similar; the anti-carbonization performance of concrete prepared with dry-made sand-made sand is
2021-2-22 Worldwide industrial sand and gravel production by country 2020. The United States was the leading producer of sand and gravel worldwide in 20120, having produced 71 million metric tons that year
2017-4-20 of concrete produced with manufactured sand. Keywords: Manufactured sand, natural sand, aggregate, cement. Introduction. Increase in demand and decrease from natural sources of fine aggregate for the production of concrete has resulted in the need to identify new source of fine aggregate. Due to increased levels of
2016-1-18 • River sand is a widely used construction material in Hong Kong, especially in the production of concrete and cement-sand mortar • The Construction Industry Council has launched a research project entitled “Research on River Sand Substitutes for Concrete Production and Cement Sand Mortar Production”.
River sand is one of the most consumed non-renewable sources in the construction sector. To meet the demand of concrete in the construction industry, river sand mining increased drastically in the last few decades. Sand in the river bed is responsible for maintaining environmental equilibrium [1].
2019-4-3 how cement and concrete are made. Cement is the essential ingredient in concrete. It is a fine powder that acts as the glue that holds concrete together when mixed with water, sand and aggregates. Cement is manufactured by heating a precise mixture of finely ground limestone, clay and sand
2019-11-8 The concrete used to construct shopping malls, offices, and apartment blocks, along with the asphalt we use to build roads connecting them, are largely just sand and gravel glued together.
2020-12-17 Desert sand is one of the current research hotspots in alternative materials for concrete aggregates. In the process of practical application, compressive strength is an essential prerequisite for studying other properties. Based on the current research situation, a prediction technology of compressive strength of desert sand concrete

2018-3-8 The Applications of Manufactured Sand in Concrete Production. According to the stable and adjustable grain gradation characteristics of manufactured sand, compared with natural sand under the same proportion design and the same forming and curing conditions of other materials, the concrete made of m-sand has the features of decreasing slump and increasing 28d concrete

2018-7-20 Concrete production uses a ton of sand and emits a lot of carbon. Here are some greener alternatives. A concrete mixing truck at a construction site in South Africa. Demand for concrete
2015-2-4 The availability of natural sand for concrete production is facing challenges, while the so-called waste stockpiles at aggregate crushing areas are causing problems for producers. This means that the industry has a huge need to solve this challenge by finding suitable technology for usable crushed sand production.

It is a fine powder that acts as the glue that holds concrete together when mixed with water, sand and aggregates. Cement is manufactured by heating a precise mixture of finely ground limestone, clay and sand in a rotating kiln to temperatures reaching 1450ºC.
2017-6-30 River sand from Lagos environs used was air dried in the laboratory at the average temperature of 34°C for the concrete production. The gradation test was performed on the sample that passed through sieve 9.5 mm and retained on 0.075 mm after agitation of nest of the sieves according to AASHTO T 27 (2014). In the process, a nest of sieves with
